If you’ve been following, I decided to do 10 days of foundation testing with 10 samples I got from Sephora. Read my introduction post to get all the details on what I’ll be trying and check out the previous posts, Fenty, Sephora Collection and Dior.
Ok Laura Mercier does not play. This is one of those brands that famous YouTubers always talk about. I have the Secret Brightening Powder which I feel so/so about. It sets under eyes, but considering my skin is so dry, (see how this is a common theme in all these posts?) all setting powders tend to be cakey on me, especially under the eyes. Which sucks because that’s where I need it the most.
I saw a Jeffree Star review recently on the Flawless Fusion Ultra Longwear Concealer and it looked awesome on him, and since then I’ve been debating buying it. So I was really excited to see that the Flawless Fusion Foundation ($48) was in this sample pack.

This foundation is amazing. It’s full coverage without feeling or looking like you’ve painted yourself, and it even dries to the perfect matte. It’s matte but still hydrating. My blush and highlighter blended well over this. In the above picture, you can see it covered nicely, but I did have a pimple near my nose that was still somewhat visible. Other than that, I think my skin looks awesome in that picture, but to be fair, it’s been hard to take a picture showing the negatives with all these foundations. With the right light, almost any makeup will look good on camera I think.
At the end of the night, it did look a little heavy in certain spots, like around my chin and on my cheeks, but it wasn’t terrible. I think it probably requires some touching up, which I can deal with for coverage this nice. I think this is a contender for what I buy at the end, but this is another brand with not that many shades. The next time I’m in Sephora, I’m going to make it a point to look at all the foundations I’ve tried because these little squares on the website are impossible to tell. Does anyone have experience with this foundation or brand?
